The use of dental implants has greatly helped, and continues to help, modern dentistry, and consequently of course patients, in the replacement of lost teeth. But, what happens if it's not just a single missing tooth? What if the problem is greater and extends across the jaw? There is a solution for all cases.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What are the options for replacing lost teeth with dental implants? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Replacement of a single tooth<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0Immediately (right after the implant placement) or after a healing period, a brace is attached to the implant. This is a device that supports or connects the implant to a tooth shape called a crown which replaces the part of the tooth you see in the mouth. It will hold a custom crown that the dental lab will build, and it will match your existing teeth. The adjusted crown is attached or screwed onto the bracket to hold it in place. Once the crown is in place, it should be inseparable from your natural teeth.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Permanent replacement of multiple teeth (Dental Bridge)<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0As with replacing a tooth, temporary coverings or braces can be placed in multiple implants until the healing phase is complete. After healing, the implants are permanently attached. They can be attached to special orders for crowns or bridges that a dental laboratory will build to match your existing teeth. In the final step, the custom bridge, which will replace multiple teeth, is attached or screwed to the brackets. The teeth have been replaced without disturbing the healthy teeth next to them and the bone loss has stopped.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Removable Implant-Supported Tooth Replacement<\/strong><\/p>

If all of your lower teeth are missing, depending on the design of the removable restoration, two to six implants can be used to support the lower denture. If all of your upper teeth are missing, at least four implants can be used to support the upper denture.<\/p>

Removable dentures are often used to replace the extensive loss of teeth, bones and gums, thus providing support for the skeleton of the face, lips and cheeks. A new denture may have attachments that clip on the implants or a custom-made milled bar to create additional strength and support for restoration.<\/p>

Design variations are often related to bone density and the number of implants available, your dentist will discuss these options during your visit.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As we can see, there is the possibility to deal with a number of cases depending on the circumstances and the needs of the patient. Something that would not have been possible to this extent without dental implants.<\/p>
